Ontario Network for

Community Service-Learning and Community/Campus Engagement

THE network TO DATE

As the title suggests, this network is for anyone involved in community service-learning and community-campus engagement in the province of Ontario who would like to connect with like-minded people. Beginning with a public roundtable in May 2007 and followed up with a face-to-face meeting in June 2007 (notes forthcoming), participants have expressed a common interest in three main areas:

a) program and service delivery sharing;

b) advocacy, policy change and sustainable funding; and

c) connecting with other groups provincially.

The network is very young and at this point, participants seem interested in getting together
periodically (by telephone and in-person) to share stories and ideas...and perhaps even create and carry out projects.
