The PROMISING PRACTICES Tele-learning Series welcomed Todd Barr from the Trent Centre for Community-Based Education in Peterborough and Heather Reid from the U-Links Centre for Community-Based Research in Haliburton County, both in Ontario.  While both organizations are unique in a number of ways, they have similar mandates and together they deliver the community-based education program through Trent University.

Todd and Heather shared their unique relationship with Trent University and the surrounding community.  These organizations have facilitated learning through service for Trent students for the last twelve years. Learn about defining, understanding, diminishing and managing risk through both traditional practices and innovative social perspectives which view risk as positive and productive.
