Students in a community-service learning program augment their academic learning by getting hands-on experience in real-world situations while also contributing to the community.
Dual Role:
- Learners
- Service providers for a community organization.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in scholarly and training activities that prepare them for their dual role as learner and service provider
- Actively engage in service delivery in the community
- Demonstrate ethical helping, responsible behaviour, and respectful relationship building
- Reflect on the meaning of their experience personally, intellectually, and with respect to citizenship
