Community Organization Staff *
Community organization staff members in a community service-learning (CSL) program represent their organization and the community.
Role: Collaborators with faculty in designing service placements that meet their organization’s needs and students’ learning objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide orientation and/or training for students
- Supervise students during their service placement
- Judge students’ engagement with the purposes of the organization.
- Assist faculty/staff in evaluating students’ learning
- Act as co-educators (e.g., classroom lecturers) as requested
